The Best Homemade Cranberry Sauce
I have been making this homemade cranberry sauce for years and it really does not disappoint. It only requires 5 ingredients and basically no prep work. You just throw the ingredients in a pot, cook for around 20 minutes and bam you’ve got yourself a crowd pleaser.
Cranberries tend to be forgotten until we hit Thanksgiving. But they should honestly be part of your diet throughout the year if you can find them. Cranberries are high in nutrients and antioxidants. They are also said to increase immune function and potentially decrease risk of cancers and blood pressure.
Cranberry sauce is one of those things that I think always impresses people when it is homemade. Move over cans and jars, this will take you under half hour to make from start to finish and you can make it the day before and store it in the fridge!
This recipe does require a little sugar to balance out the tartness of the cranberries but feel free to sub with date sugar or a little honey. I personally haven’t tried that yet but if you do then let me know how it goes!
