The Best Healthy Brownie Recipe
I was really craving something rich a chocolaty recently and that is where the best healthy brownie recipe came from.
The reason I am calling this healthy is because it is gluten-free and sugar-free. And the reason it is the best is because it is rich in flavor and totally hits the spot for that chocolate craving.
If you haven’t made zucchini brownies yet, please don’t let it scare you, you cannot taste any zucchini once cooked. Also, and please note this, let it cool down. Although you might be tempted to dig right in, it tastes so much better once cooled.
INGREDIENTS
Almond Flour (1/2 cup)
Gluten Free All Purpose Flour (1/2 cup)
Honey (4 tablespoons)
Applesauce (1/4 cup)
Eggs (2)
Cacao (1/2 cup)
Baking Soda (1tsp)
Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
Zucchini (1 shredded)
Dark Chocolate Chips (1/3 cup)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 375F and line baking pan with parchment paper.
- Shred zucchini and squeeze out excess water. Set aside.
- In a bowl mix the 2 eggs lightly, add in the honey and mix well together by hand.
- Next add in applesauce and mix well.
- Add gluten-free flour, almond flour, baking soda and the vanilla extract to the wet ingredients and mix well by hand.
- Add in the cacao and mix.
- Fold in zucchini and then the chocolate chips.
- Pour into pan and bake for 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out almost clean. You don’t want the brownie to be dry but you want to make sure there is no raw batter.
- LET IT COOL! The first hot taste isn’t that great but trust me it gets better.
