One-Step Fiber Fruit Snack Recipe
Are you ready to have your mind blown?? This one-step fiber fruit snack recipe is like a natural jello and keeps you full for longer!
This recipe requires one step and makes for a great snack especially during the summer months. And what is great about it is that once you make it you can store it in the fridge for days after!
All you need is some berries (any will work but my favorite combo is strawberries and blueberries), a pot and then a fiber powder. I list out some of my favorite fiber powders here. Ready, let’s go!
INGREDIENTS
Organic Strawberries (1 box)
Organic Blueberries (1 cup)
Fiber Powder
INSTRUCTIONS
- Wash strawberries and blueberries.
- De-stem strawberries and cut into halves or quarters depending on how big they are.
- Put fruit into a pot.
- Boil on medium/low heat for about 10-15 minutes.
- If you are going to save some for another day then transfer to a jar once cooled and store in fridge. (Do not add fiber powder until ready to eat).
- If you want to enjoy asap then you can have it warm or cooled and add in a teaspoon of your fiber powder and mix well. *
**Please note, the fiber powder will make your fruit thicker, giving it a jello consistency. This is why you don’t want to add in the fiber powder into the whole pot but instead individually as you serve it.
I love the thick jello-like consistency and that’s what makes this snack so fun! Have it for breakfast or as a snack. The fiber will keep you feeling full longer. This is also great to-go; I’ve been puttin some fruit and fiber in a tupperware container and having it at the beach.
