The Best Banana Bread Recipe
Why is this the best banana bread recipe ever? Well to start it tastes amazing! So sweet but without any added sugar! It is also gluten free! It has limited ingredients so takes almost no prep time. Trust me, you will make this once and be hooked!
Nothing bothers me more than seeing banana bread recipes with sugar. Whether you are trying to be healthy or not, cakes, muffins or cookies made with bananas DO NOT need added sugar. Bananas are so sweet on their own and if you hold out until they are super ripe, they are even sweeter! As you can see here, one of my favorite cookie recipes includes bananas as well!
So here we go!
Ingredients
Bananas (the riper aka browner the better), (4)
Almond Flour (2 cups)
Eggs (4) (banana to egg ratio needs to be the same aka 2 bananas = 2 eggs)
Baking Soda OR Powder (1 teaspoon)
Cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
Dash of Salt
Nutmeg (1/2 teaspoon) optional
Walnuts (1/4 cup) optional
Dark Chocolate Chips (1/4 cup) optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F and line a 9″ x 5″ baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mash up bananas in a bowl with a fork.
- Add the almond flour, eggs, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg into the bowl with the bananas.
- Blend using a kitchen-aid or hand mixer for around 3-4 minutes or until blended well.
- Stir in walnuts and/or chocolate chips.
- Pour into pan and bake for around 40-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Let sit in pan to cook and then remove the banana bread by lifting up the parchment paper (we use the paper for easy removal).
Enjoy!!
