Best Blistered Shishito Pepper Recipe
Blistered shishito peppers have become somewhat of a staple on menus as appetizers these days. But recreating your favorite $10 app recipe at home for a quarter of the price has never been easier!
I like having these veggies on hand when I feel like having a snack pre-dinner. To be honest, I’m not even the biggest fan of regular red or yellow peppers. However, once these are blistered, covered in lemon juice and topped with Himalayan salt, they are yummy!
Ingredients
Shishito Peppers
Lemon Juice (1/2 lemon)
Himalayan Salt (pinch)
Olive Oil
Instructions
- Add a little olive oil to a grill pan or regular pan if you don’t have a grill one.
- After it warms up, add the shishito peppers.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes total, turning over once in the middle.
- They should appear “blistered”.
- Remove from heat and squeeze fresh lemon juice on them and sprinkle with salt. Enjoy!
