Shungite and it’s Healing Properties
Let’s talk shungite and it’s healing properties and what I use it for. I wear a shungite bracelet everyday and have loose shungite stones by my computer, tv and in my water! This little rock is super powerful. But first you might be asking, what is shungite?
What is Shungite?
Often categorized with “crystals,” shungite is really more of a rock or stone. It has been around for 2 billion years but it’s properties weren’t discovered until 1996!
Shungite is only found in one part of the world and that is in the village of Shunga in Karelia, Russia. Shungite is an almost pure form of carbon but it also includes fullerenes. Fullerenes are carbon molecules that have formed into hollow, globular molecules. Fullerenes are what give shungite it’s special healing abilities and it’s the only stone to have them except for meteorites.
Good to also note is that there are two types of shungite. The first is the elite which is 98% carbon and shiny in color/texture. The second type is black shungite which is duller and 50-70% carbon.
Shungite and EMF
The reason I learned about shungite was because I was looking for crystals to protect against EMF aka electro magnetic frequencies. EMF’s come from all electronics especially our cellphones, computers and cell towers. This post isn’t about the new cell towers that have been put up in major cities in 2020 (if you know what I mean; I won’t spell it out for you because of censoring issues) but that is what sparked my interest. I’ve heard these cell towers give off such an incredible amount of radiation and we don’t know what it means for our bodies yet. I’m not saying shungite will block it completely, but I think it can help.
What shungite basically does is transform those harmful frequencies into ones that our bodies have a better way of processing.
Shungite and Water
If you read my post on water, you know that the water we have access to isn’t always the best. It either contains contaminants from the faucent or is stripped of minerals when bottled. Due to it’s high carbon capacity, shungite acts like a filter for water while raising the content of the good minerals that we want.
What you want to do is pour water into a large carafe or pitcher and then add in the (rinsed) shungite stones. The stones should sit in the water for 12- 24 hours before drinking. Basically make a pitcher every night for the next day.
How Much Does Shungite Cost
Most crystals are pretty cheap but shungite is a little more expensive. This is due to the fact that it is only mined in one place so the production can be limited at times. I think it is still pretty affordable, a shungite bracelet in NYC will run you about $20-$40 and loose stones will be a lot less.
Let me know if you guys use shungite or if you have any other crystals or stones that work well for you!
