Antioxidant Celery and Cherry Juice Recipe
I like to switch things around and keep it interesting which is where this new and simple celery and cherry juice recipe came from! I am normally such a big proponent of just celery juice on an empty stomach (or after your hot water, lemon and cinnamon). It really helps clean you out and keeps you glowing. But I think it’s totally okay to add other fruits/veggies that have amazing properties, like cherries!
Cherries are such a seasonal fruit that I often forget about them but I was able to buy them frozen (as I do with most fruit that I use for smoothies or juices). Benefits of cherries include that they are packed with nutrients, are anti-inflammatory, can help with arthritis and can actually help with sleep or insomnia. (See more here)
Mix that with all the vitamins celery has and you’ve got yourself a delicious nutrient packed morning drink for your body to soak up!
Ingredients
Cherries (pitted, frozen or fresh) (1/3 cup)
Celery (3-4 large stalks)
Lemon (1/4 of whole)- can leave skin on if organic and washed
MCT Oil (1 tsp)
Chia Seeds (1 tsp)
Flax Seeds (1 tsp)
Directions
Blend all well together, about 30 seconds to a minute.
Enjoy!
